The title of A Long Time Coming, Sandra Piller's debut on Shady Hill Records,
is a perfect reflection of the powerful joys and pains that inspired the album’s
11 songs and the emotional intensity of her live performances.
Offering a mix of compelling, heartfelt original songs and snappy reworkings
of the rock-era classics “Love Me Two Times,” “Tightrope”
and “I Go To Pieces,” the album was produced by rock and country
legend and pedal steel guitar master Marty Rifkin, whose credits include Tom
Petty, Dwight Yoakum, Jewel and Bruce Springsteen.
Sandra, who scored her first two single song publishing deal as a songwriter
with legendary Sun Records icon and country music producer Cowboy Jack Clement,
wrote two of the original songs with 25-year Nashville songwriting veteran Jane
Bach (Reba McEntire, Collin Raye, JoDee Messina): the first single “My
Last Romance” and “She Knows Better.” |
